The gecko-backed metal armor, reinforced is a type of armor in the Fallout: New Vegas add-on Honest Hearts.

Characteristics
This armor provides a Damage Threshold of 20 as well as increased resistance to fire, poison and radiation, but also reduces Agility by -1 like all metal armors. It also provides +4 DT more than the normal version, at the cost of a five pound increase in weight.
Like all gecko-backed armor introduced in Honest Hearts, its appearance is unchanged from the original armor type.
Crafting
This armor must be crafted by the player character. It cannot be found on enemies or in containers.

Originally, creating the armor rendered an item at 100% condition. Since the Old World Blues add-on, it is created at 80%.

If you are wearing the metal armor during crafting, you will retain a -1 AGL even when you take off the newly crafted piece. [verified] To fix this, equip another set of reinforced metal armor and unequip it.
